Upgrading your first generation Grandstream HT801

Follow these steps to update the firmware of your Grandstream HT801 1st generation device.

Updated Steps for Older Firmware (version 1.0.33.4 or below)

1. Go to Advanced Settings: Click the Advanced Settings tab at the top of the web interface.
2. Find the Upgrade Section: Scroll down until you see the Firmware Upgrade and Provisioning section.
3. Configure the Server:
   1. Upgrade Via: Select HTTP.
   2. Firmware Server Path: Enter firmware.grandstream.com.
   3. Always Check for New Firmware: Select "Yes" or "Always Check at Bootup".
4. Save and Reboot: Scroll to the very bottom, click Apply (or Save), and then click Reboot

Then you should see Provision: Running, Status: Downloading file from url. (screenshot below). Just let it run.

The update will take some time. But after awhile you will be redirected to login again and to the following screen.

As you know the default password is admin, you will need to make a new one, the click Modify button.

Once you have changed your password, you will see that the firmware has updated and the Provision system is not running. This means, it is done.
